Earl Scruggs Center Coasters

Set of 4, Case Included

Located in the beautiful 1907 Neo-Classical Revival structure which served as the Cleveland County Courthouse from 1907 – 1974, the Earl Scruggs Center opened in January 2014 as a state of the art museum and cultural center.

This life-size sculpture of Earl as he appeared in his early days with the Foggy Mountain Boys, is based on a photo taken in 1952 at WPTF in Raleigh, NC.  This is a favorite spot for guest photos.

“The Super Earl” Serial #3 Gibson Banjo, 2002 This limited-edition Gibson banjo, signed by Earl Scruggs, is modeled on the one he played. The five-string instrument features pure silver and silver-plated hardware as well as custom engraving. Materials include Indian rosewood and maple with green abalone and 14K gold inlays.

Earl Scruggs’ popularity and artistic achievement have been recognized with numerous awards and honors including four GRAMMYs, a National Academy of Recording Art & Sciences Lifetime Achievement Award and a National Medal of Arts.
